| - The Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing Christmas was really good. I got a stand for my amp, the family guy movie, a flanger pedal, a video camera, incense, clothes, and other little things like candy. Break has been good so far. I have really been enjoying sitting on my ass for the majority of the day. We're auditiong a kid who plays the keyboard for our band. now we just need to find a singer.

| wow today was crazy. so i was drivin over to tommys today to practice before battle of the bands becase we werent ready at all and kevin called my dads cell phone and was like oh well i was just out sledding and broke my ankle in 3 places so i cant make the show. i was so fucking mad, ive never cussed more in my life lol. so i spent like 25 minutes yelling and swearing and then we decided to call miles and ask him to fill in. to make everything worse, i dont know kevins basslines, so miles had to write bass parts for the songs lol. so we practed from about 5-9 and my hand was sooo fucking sore. then we got to rhinos and sat around. i was so nervous we would fuck it up since kevin wasnt there. but we did a lot better than i expected. there were 6 bands that played and we got 3rd place in the judges vote and 2nd place in the popular vote. some guy from IU interviewed us for his journalism class which was cool. then one of the judges told us we were the only band who played real music the entire night lol. so it all ended pretty well. tomorro i have to be at south at 10 fucking AM for my jazz combo performance, then i have to go back at like 3 or somthing for my jazz band performance. i would much rather sleep the entire day. oh well. since we had a snow day i wasnt able to get my homework from school so i dont have to do any of my homework which is pretty nice. | | |
| well battle of the bands is on friday and tommy will either get back on thursday night or at 10:45 on friday night, it depends on which flight he takes. if he doesnt get back in time though john valdez will fill in for him. if you read this invite a bunch of people, we play at 10:50. | today i went over to tri north with tommy to help with their jazz band which was pretty boring. then later i went to this party with floyd and we didnt even know whos it was we just went to see matts band play. there were all these dumbass preps and white trash assholes there and it was really boring until matts band played. floyd can finally drive with other people in his car legally. tommy isnt going to get back from florida til like 9 or 10 on the day of battle of the bands. this really pisses me off because he said he could do it like 2 months ago and then just a few days ago he remembered he was going to florida. so he probably wont be back in time for us to play but there is small chance he will be. so we have to teach this kid john valdez our songs incase tommy doesnt show up. im pretty sure kevin is going to quit after BOB. he says he doesnt like to play metal., even though we arent really metal at all. one of my friends told me he heard kevin say he was planning on quitting so im probably going to ask miles to play with us. we also want to get a singer so if anyone who is reading this knows a singer, not someone who screams but someone who actually sings then tell me about it.

| - Universal Mind today was so busy. i went over to tommys house and pracitced for a little bit with him and kevin. then at 1:30 we had our audition. they seemed to like us so i think we got in. then at 6 my jazz combo played at this big dinner party thing at the union and we got free pizza. right after that was over i went to stevens party and we played for a while and when we were finished lots of people got out their guitars and we all jammed.
